This is a past event.

After hours trekking through the jungle heat, we break stride for a most unusual picnic, offering a cornucopia of tranquillity and literary quiet in the conservatory of the Oxford Botanic Gardens.

Nestled among the foliage, our resident guide will welcome guests to a luncheon of over-flowing baskets and sultry tropical treats as Edward Docx, journalist and author of The Devil’s Garden, reads and shares an exclusive insight into his own experiences of the Amazon. Join us for a little rainforest revelry and escape an Olympic summer for the tropics of Oxford.

Our local culinary trailblazer, Becky's Kitchen, will offer a suitable heady concoction of South American flavours, evoking the sights, sounds and smells of one of the world’s most mysterious environments.

Tickets included a gourmet picnic, entry to the Oxford Botanic Gardens, complimentary Picador gift bag, and lunchtime entertainment. Vegetarian option available.
